This retreat is going to be a week long intensive of extreme creative expansion! With the Island of Bali as our backdrop and the pulse of local artisan's infusing our stay- we will dive deep into the creative process. Anahata Katkin (PaPaYa!'s co-founder and artist) will be giving four days of mixed media workshops mixed with local adventures and stunning surroundings. Workshop 2: Mixed Media Mandala's(One Day) Workshop 3: Bali-Style, Creative Instincts-(One Day) A two part workshop that takes place both outside while we create nature altars surrounded by the beauty Bali has to offer and in the second half of the day we return to the workshop space as we make mixed media pieces that reflect the nature altars. -7 NIGHT ACCOMODATIONS, double occupancy at the lovely Apakabar Villas (www.apakabarvillas.com) - EXCURSIONS INCLUDING: 1. A day trip to a local textile weaving factory with excursion to Ubud, the culture arts center of Bali- with lunch included. 2. Group snorkeling, beach excursion 3. A private one 1 hour massage 4. WALLPAPER PANEL WORKSHOP: Above is a sampling of the Wallpaper Panel Workshop. Panels can range up to six feet in total length. These are just close ups of some of them. Panels will roll up and travel easily in personal luggage. MIXED MEDIA MANDALAS: Below is a sampling from the mixed Media Mandala's class. Artwork featured is a combination of my own mandalas and student artwork. Incorporating Balinese artwork into these mandalas will be a wonderful addition to this workshop while on retreat. CREATIVE INSTINCTS: We will be getting outside and into nature to purify the creative mind and connect with our surroundings. This process is one of my very favorite workshops. We will be able to catch insights while building our personal nature altars with nothing more than found objects. This can be a profound experience and restores a sense of creative faith with the beauty of Bali as our backdrop.
